One source of truth for your ETIM features, product fiches and certificates.
Heat pumps, boilers, radiators, taps, pipes and charging stations: thousands of variants with outputs, connection sizes and energy labels. Managed in one place, validated against ETIM and published automatically to InstallData, wholesalers, your webshop and the DIY chains.
Product fiche · automatic
liveFour questions in one day, four sources, none of them in the Excel.
InstallData rejects 340 radiators because the heat output sits as text in a single cell. An installer asks for the energy label for his subsidy file. The inspector wants to know whether the tap is on the Belgaqua list, under exactly the same model name. And sales wants to know which heat pumps can no longer be sold after 1 January 2027 because of the refrigerant.
Rejected by the data pool
ETIM does not want a text '1,245 W (75/65)' but three numeric features in W, an n-exponent and a material from a list. What is a readable cell in Excel is an error for InstallData.
Certificates in folders
Product fiche, energy label, declaration of conformity, Belgaqua certificate and manual in three languages sit in folders and mailboxes. The PDF on the webshop is the previous model's.
Rules that steer your range
F-gas ban dates, the European drinking water lists from the end of 2026, the EPB database, the subsidy conditions. Without GWP, charge and model name as fields, nobody can answer the question.

One controlled source, every channel in its own format.
Specifications with units, not text cells
Heat output, capacity at 7/35 and -7/35, flow rate, head, connection size: every value once, numeric, with unit and test condition. The ETIM mapping follows by itself.
ETIM and InstallData built in
Link your products to the ETIM classes, map your specifications to the features and export in BMEcat 2005 or ETIM xChange, with the attachment index and MDX codes for images and documents.
Certificates as documents on the model
ErP product fiche, energy label, declaration of conformity, Belgaqua certificate and manual per language, with version and validity. PimLayer is PIM and DAM in one, so they flow to every channel and every subsidy file.
Live in one month
Onboarding included, 27 days on average until a first channel is fed automatically. Configured, not programmed; IT only comes in for the ERP link.
What your product data must be able to do in the installation sector.
A selection from the field model in the whitepaper. Per product family you pick the groups that apply: the ErP rows for heating, hot water and ventilation, the drinking water rows for anything that touches water.
Identification
Article number and manufacturer number, GTIN per packaging level, GLN, ETIM class with version, and the model identifier literally as on the type plate, in EPREL and on the Belgaqua list.
Technical
Nominal output at 80/60 and 50/30, heat output 75/65, 55/45 and 70/40 according to EN 442, flow rate and head, connection sizes, material, maximum pressure and temperature, IP rating.
Energy label and ErP
Class per function with scale range, seasonal efficiency eta s and eta wh per load profile, SCOP and SEER, sound power indoors and outdoors, NOx, controller class for the package label, EPREL number once available.
Refrigerant
Refrigerant from a list, GWP, charge in kg, tonnes CO2 equivalent, hermetic yes/no, safety class. With the derived ban date per model (2027, 2029, 2032, 2035), so sales and purchasing plan the range from the PIM.
Drinking water, gas and pressure
Materials in contact with drinking water and the European declaration of conformity from 31 December 2026, Hydrocheck number and EN 1717 certificate, flow rate and flush volume, gas category and hydrogen readiness, PED category.
Compliance and subsidies
CE declaration of conformity, manual in NL, FR and DE, EPB registration number with validity, subsidy eligibility and certificate template, required installer accreditation, Recupel, Bebat and PV Cycle.
The complete field model, with level (product, variant, set), data type, unit and the channel for which each field is mandatory, is in chapter 3 of the whitepaper.
Every channel its own format, all from the same source.
In no other sector is ETIM as decisive. What each channel asks for, and what PimLayer exports per channel.
Live in one month, family by family.
No long IT project. This is the order from the whitepaper, as we apply it at Belgian manufacturers and wholesalers.
Inventory and data design
Which Excels, which channels, which customers. Product tree (product, variant, set), specification library with units, taxonomy and validation rules, before you import a single row.
Field model and ETIM mapping
Your Excel columns mapped to the specifications, your products linked to the ETIM classes. What the class asks for and you don't have shows up as a gap in the readiness.
Import and documents
Existing data and supplier files imported, certificates and product fiches per language attached to the right model, price and stock from the ERP.
First channel live
InstallData, your webshop or the GS1 database fed automatically. Then you scale up, family by family and channel by channel.
Frequently asked questions from the installation sector
Does PimLayer support ETIM and delivery to InstallData?
Yes. You link your products to the ETIM classes, map your specifications to the features with the right units and value lists, and export in BMEcat or ETIM xChange with the attachment index for images and documents. What the class asks for and you don't have shows up as a gap in your readiness before the data pool rejects your file.
How do I manage the ErP product fiche, the energy label and the certificates?
As specifications and documents on the model: the product fiche values as separate fields with units, and label, product fiche, declaration of conformity, Belgaqua certificate and manual per language as documents with version and validity. They flow to every channel and every subsidy file.
Can I see which appliances leave the range because of the F-gas regulation?
Yes, if refrigerant, GWP, charge and capacity class are fields in your PIM. With a derived field for the ban date you filter in seconds which models must be replaced before 1 January 2027, 2029, 2032 or 2035, and plan the successors with a 'replaces' relation.
Does this also work for a wholesaler receiving supplier data of varying quality?
Yes. A wholesaler uses PimLayer to normalise supplier data (BMEcat, xChange, Excel, PDF) into one ETIM-based field model, enrich it with its own texts, prices and channel rules, and publish it in a structured way to webshop, catalogue and customer portal.
How long does an implementation take, and do I need IT?
You usually go live within a month, 27 days on average, with onboarding included and a first channel fed automatically. PimLayer is configured, not programmed; IT mainly comes in for the ERP link.
